Ron Sacino
Ron Sacino, third generation owner of Sacino’s Formalwear and Dry Cleaning, was awarded the coveted WHITE TIE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD to honor his 60-year contribution to the men’s wear and formalwear industries in Dallas, TX, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the International Formalwear Convention.

Sacino’s was founded in 1916 by his grandfather, Giovanni Sacino who immigrated to America from Italy. He grew up in the family business and took the helm from his father, Jerry Sacino, in 1972.

Ron served as the Chairman of the International Formalwear Association and served on its board for more than 20 years. He also served on the board of directors of the National Retail Federation for over 27 years and as Chairman of the Florida Retail Federation and twice Chairman of the Florida Merchants Association.

Known for his fashion sense, he accepted the award in a feathered white bowtie and a navy on black seersucker tuxedo.

Community and Industry Leaders for Four Generations

Sacino’s has been in business since 1916 and has become one of the most
respected family-owned companies in Florida, and a local leader in the Tampa
Bay area.

John B. Sacino, an accomplished master tailor, started his business in
Fitchburg, MA when he came to the United States in pursuit of the American
Dream. He soon moved to Florida with his family and opened his retail business
on Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg. Shortly after, his two sons Jerry
and Aldo joined him. Ron is John’s grandson (and Jerry’s son) and has led the
company since 1974.

Known for its high-touch, quality service in its retail clothing stores, a natural
extension was to open laundry and dry cleaning outlets; which provide pick-up
and delivery at residences and offices throughout Tampa Bay.

In addition to the Fine Dry Cleaning and Valet, Sacino’s offers custom tailoring
and alterations, shoe repair, and tuxedo rentals throughout the southeast.
Sacino’s has been honored as the Florida Small Business of the Year, and
continues to mentor others in the retail, fashion, and small business industries
nationwide.

Ron Sacino

Ron Sacino, the president of Sacino’s is both a pioneer and active leader in the
retail and fashion industries.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Sherloq (formerly Florida’s
Merchants Association). He previously served in leadership for the National
Retail Federation, Florida Retail Federation, International Formalwear
Association and numerous community boards in the Tampa Bay area. He is
often tapped to provide expertise in customer service, fashion retailing, and
consumer trends by major media outlets.
